"WHITE ILLUSIONS" CONCERT BY KAREN GRIGORORYAN AT ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL

On September 1 Karen Grigoryan presented "White Illusions" concert at Royal Festival Hall in London, a concert consisting of his greatest experimental classical works and performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra.The concert were organized by the "INVERSE" and "Kazakh Gala" cultural organisations under auspices of Armenian Embassy in London and the British Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The concert was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia's independence. This gala was an opportunity to gain an insight into the work of one of today's foremost Armenian contemporary classical composers, performed by one of London's premiere orchestras.The Philharmonia Orchestra was led by the acclaimed conductor Marius Stravinsky, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Karelia Philharmonic Orchestra (KPO). Around 2000 people, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in UK, representatives of UK's political, social and cultural circles, as well as local Armenian community attended the event.
